The SSC Travel Program is a continuation and extension of our Developmental Program that offers an unparalleled soccer experience and is open to ALL players. The program offers players U9-U19 the opportunity to continue in the game until they graduate from high school. Our curriculum is based on maximum ball contact, weekly training skills, themes, and expert coaching, all within a fun and age-appropriate environment!
One of the key components to this overall goal is to have the entire age group train and play its games as a pool each week to provide consistency with the teaching of the game for all. Players will be rotated through a series of roster moves each week to provide equal opportunities.
Travel Program features
The developmental program is a ten-month comprehensive program that includes training and coaching of games by licensed youth coaches for all training sessions and games
Pool Training / Flexible Rosters
In the U7-U12 age groups, players are loosely assigned to teams but train as a group where the focus is on the technical development of the individual player and in turn the age group as a whole, rather than each team.
As we move through U10 and U11, the teams take shape, but we maintain our steadfast focus on the needs of all players as individuals and worry not about team success. We maintain roster flexibility and club carding through U12 always to offer the opportunity for a player to train and play with a higher team in their age group if deserved or to help a player initially on a higher team find the level that best accelerates their pace of development. Many clubs fix their rosters at young ages, and players who develop at different rates are simply left without options.
U9-U14 teams:
- Pooled training twice per week/Fall and Spring season
- 1 x per week in the Winter (Indoors)
- 9-10 games, 1 per weekend, for the Fall and Spring seasons
- Professional training for all sessions and games
U15-U18 teams:
- Generally, train 1x per week in the Fall; 2x per week after the high school season ends
- 1 x per week in the Winter (Indoors)
- 2x per week in the Spring during league and Cup play.
Costs associated with each pool are available upon inquiry.
In comparison to surrounding clubs, we have found that our costs to run a team are reasonable and often more competitive than our neighbors for the services provided. Fees go towards player insurance, field maintenance, field lining, facilities rental, equipment, professional fees, electronic services, and general and administrative fees.
